- Children who are not yet in school who have not had a referral to speech and language therapy

Please note that we can only accept referrals from professionals working with the family. We are unable to accept referrals directly from families. If your child is in school or nursery, they are ideally placed to make the referral for you, or this can be completed by a Health Professional such as your GP.
When making a referral for Autism and/or ADHD assessments, please ensure that the child is not already referred under ‘Right to Choose’ as this is an NHS assessment and children should not be on more than one waiting list with different providers for the same assessment.
If a ‘Right to Choose’ referral is made subsequent to the referral to MCH, we ask that you share this information to allow appointments to be offered to other children waiting.
