Medway Community Healthcare (MCH) provides a wide range of high quality community health services for Medway residents; from health visitors and district nurses to speech and language therapists and out of hours urgent care.
The Freedom of Information Act (FOI) 2000 provides public access to information held by public authorities.
It does this in two ways:
This Act does not provide the right of access to personal information held about you (eg health records), please visit our information about me page >
Public authorities include government departments, local authorities, the NHS, state schools and police forces. However, the Act does not cover every organisation that receives public money. For example, it does not cover some charities that receive grants and certain private sector organisations that perform public functions.
On 1 April 2011 Medway Community Healthcare became a Community Interest Company (CIC) that provides community NHS services to local people. This means that we are no longer classed as a public authority under the terms of the Act and therefore currently do not have to comply with requests.
However, we do publish a range of information, news and updates on this website and welcome any comments you have. If you would like to get involved in helping us develop our services to meet your needs and ensure they are the right services for local people we invite you to join our community forum >
Thank you for your interest in Medway Community Healthcare.
