If your child is over 3 years with a continence issue, please call the Duty Health Visitor on 0300 123 3444 (option 4) for support.
In addition, our dedicated nurse-led team, based at Snapdragons Children’s Centre, provides expert support for children and young people aged 4 to 18 experiencing bladder and bowel difficulties.
We offer specialist assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing support for a range of continence issues, including:
- Constipation
- Soiling
- Daytime wetting
- Bedwetting (enuresis)
Continence products for children will be provided from the age of 5, following the completion of an assessment. We also manage the provision and annual review of continence products for children who have been assessed as requiring them.
This Tier 2 service is available following first-line (Tier 1) support from Health visitors, School nurses, or GPs, and operates in line with the Children’s Continence Commissioning Guide (Paediatric Continence Forum, September 2019).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Children and young people aged 4–18years
- Residents of Medway (ME1–ME8, excluding ME6) and/or registered with a Medway GP
