Dental (community)
Most people can be treated by a local general dental practitioner (GDP); please note, we do not accept self referrals. Find out how to access a NHS dentist on the NHS Website.
Some people have special physical, mental or social needs which require the support of a specialist community dental service; that’s what we provide. You can access this service by being referred through a GP or other healthcare professional.
Normal NHS dental charges apply and payment must be made before seeing the dentist, unless you are exempt from payment.
Current NHS charges are:
Band 1- £27.40
Band 2- £75.30
Band 3- £326.70
Emergency £27.40 depending on what treatment you may need.
Please note, we do not accept patients due to anxiety alone. If you are experiencing anxiety and need to see a dentist please call the dental helpline 0300 123 4412 who will be able to give details of practices who can manage your anxiety. Or you can self-refer to Kent and Medway Talking therapies at www.kmtalkingtherapies.co.uk
