Pilates classes for young people
Our Pilates classes are for young people aged between 9 and 16 years. Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps to build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk. It has been the exercise of choice for athletes, dancers and gymnasts but today the general population from all ages benefit from developing a range of fundamental movement skills that improve posture and core strength.
Good posture is vital for essential classroom skills that include eye tracking, hand-eye coordination, handwriting and fine motor skills. We have found that young people who master Pilates skills, gain confidence which can help build self-esteem, develop listening skills and improve concentration.
Classes are just £5 and take place every Friday at 4.30 - 5.15pm.
