Medway Community Healthcare (MCH) provides a wide range of high quality community health services for Medway residents; from health visitors and district nurses to speech and language therapists and out of hours urgent care.
Our Oral health Promoter and is part of the Children’s Public Health Team
Health visitors discuss oral health at the new-birth visit and give new parents a 'Brushing for Life' pack.
We deliver parent education sessions regarding oral health. The first of these is within the 'You and Your New baby' series (postnatal group), whilst the 'Introducing Solid Foods' parent education session explores oral health in more depth.
Oral health is further discussed and reinforced at the 10-12 month and the 2-2.5y development reviews.
Please contact the children’s public health team on 0300 123 3444 and look at the useful links for our children’s oral health service.
If you are a parent seeking advice please contact the duty desk on 0300 123 3444.
Alternatively please speak to your health visitor, GP or Nursery/School who may consider a referral to our service.
