NHS England Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response (EPRR) Core Standards.

It is important that the NHS in England ensures it has effective arrangements in place to deliver appropriate care to patients affected during an emergency or incident. To support this expectation NHS England require NHS providers (Hospitals, the Ambulance Service, Mental Health Trusts etc) to ensure they comply with a set of Core Standards.

As an NHS Provider MCH ensures it complies with the NHS England Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response (EPRR) Core Standards. This ensures, amongst other things that we have in place plans and procedures to mitigate against the high level risks that face the NHS from day to day.

To gain assurance that MCH comply, The Local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) carry out audits of the standards every year.

This year we are pleased to say we have achieved 'Substantial' Assurance and exhibited two examples of good practice.

MCH has a strong spine of governance overseeing the embedding of EPRR and Business Continuity Management (BCM) throughout the organisation and the key members of staff and their roles are listed below

Martin Riley: Managing Director

Chris Wright: Accountable Emergency Officer (AEO)

Glyn Griffiths: Non Executive Director (Board support to the AEO regarding EPRR obligations)

Tracy Webb: Associate Director for Independent Services (Executive Lead for EPRR)
